The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its California Community College Athletic Association All-Americans recently.

Several Irvine Valley players made the list.

The ITA picked the top 10 singles players and five-best doubles teams as being named All-Americans.

Irvine Valley had two singles players, including the state champion, and two doubles teams, including the duo that captured state as part of the list.

The Lasers were ranked No. 3 in the final ITA California Community College poll behind only state champion College of the Desert and Ventura.

Irvine Valley finished with a record of 11-4 overall and won the Orange Empire Conference with a record of 8-0 overall this past season under head coach Ross Duncan.

Freshman Arthur Bellegy, who won the CCCAA singles title and recently signed with San Diego State, was one of Irvine Valley's singles player All-Americans.

Freshman Pierre Vandegaer, who reached the semifinals of the state tournament and was named the No. 4 singles player in the state also earned honors.

In doubles, Bellegy and Kiichi Ishida, who also earned a CCCAA state title, were part of the All-American list, as was the IVC duo of Vandegaer and freshman Inaki Braun Simo, who recently signed with South Florida.
