Irvine Valley's men's tennis team started the second round of Orange Empire Conference play with an easy 9-0 win over Orange Coast on Tuesday afternoon at home.
The win was IVC's seventh in a row and improved the team's record to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in conference action.
The Lasers captured four of the six singles matches in straight sets.
Sophomore Leszek Mirecki, sophomore Thallys Santos, freshman Jorge Villagra and freshman Mateo Maya each won in straight sets for IVC.
Villagra didn't allow a game at No. 5 singles and Maya allowed just two games in the sixth singles spot.
Freshman Parker McBride rallied to beat OCC's Quoc Tran, 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 at No. 1 singles.
In doubles, IVC's teams of McBride and Lin, Maya and Santos and freshmen Philip Quenan and Leonardo Oliveira each earned victories. Quenan and Oliveira pulled out a 9-8 win in the No. 3 doubles position.
Irvine Valley plays again on Thursday at home, taking on Santa Barbara City in a non-conference match at 2 p.m.
