Irvine Valley's men's tennis team responded after dropping its first match in Orange Empire Conference play with an easy win on Tuesday at home.
The Lasers, which lost to No. 5 Cypress last Thursday, beat Fullerton, 8-1.
Irvine Valley won each of the six singles matches in straight sets and also didn't have much trouble in doubles.
IVC freshman Jacob Holiday didn't drop a game at No. 1 singles for the Lasers.
Freshman Thallys Santos (No. 2), freshman Stuart Webb (No. 4) and freshman Michael Tao (No. 6) each lost only four games in their straight-set victories.
The teams of Holiday and freshman William Li and freshman Alvaro Mantilla and Webb won at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, respectively for IVC.
Irvine Valley suffered a forfeit loss at No. 1 doubles.
Irvine Valley moved its record to 3-6 overall. Four of the team's first five losses came to four-year schools.
The Lasers play again on Thursday at home, taking on Riverside in a conference match at 2 p.m. Riverside, ranked No. 2 in Southern California, is undefeated at 13-0 so far this year.
