The Irvine Valley men's soccer team begins its 2021 campaign this afternoon, taking on El Camino at 3 p.m. at the OC Great Park.
The game will be played on field #18 at the Great Park. A link to the Great Park fields and parking options are listed here. Parking is free. And the easiest lots to access the game this afternoon are lots 5 or 6.
The Lasers, led by coach Martin McGrogan, are excited about the 2021 season after not playing in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
And McGrogan is looking forward to seeing the talented players on this year's squad.
IVC will follow with a trip to the Hartnell Tournament Sept. 2-4 and also play non-conference contests at LA City (Sept. 7) home against LA Harbor (Sept. 10), at Southwestern (Sept. 14), home against San Diego Mesa (Sept. 17) and home against (Sept. 21).
The Lasers open Orange Empire Conference play against Cypress at home on Tues., Sept. 28 at 3 p.m.
When Irvine Valley last played, the Lasers were solid during the 2019 season, going 8-8-7 overall and making the So. Cal. Regional Playoffs.
