Men's soccer team ranked No. 13 in the nation in final poll

Irvine Valley's men's soccer team was recently ranked No. 13 in the final United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division III Poll.

Irvine Valley finished the year with a record of 12-5-5 overall and was 9-2-3 in the Orange Empire Conference for second place.

IVC dropped a tough match in penalty kicks at Mt. SAC, 4-2, in the second round of the CCCAA Southern California Regionals.

The team had six players picked to all-Orange Empire Conference teams. Freshman forward Eder Olivas, sophomore forward Toby Waterman and freshman defender Juan Sebastian Oliveras were named to the first team and freshman midfielders Kristian Sabatino and Alexis Camps along with freshman defender Mathew Davis were selected to the second team.

The Lasers were ranked No. 13 in the state in the final regular season poll and were seeded No. 7 for the CCCAA South Regional Playoffs.
