Men's golf team finishes tied for fourth at Singing Hills

Irvine Valley's men's golf team continued its solid start to the 2020 season on Wednesday by finishing in a tie for fourth place at the Cuyamaca Classic at Singing Hills Golf Resort At Sycuan.

Irvine Valley finished with a team score of 377 to take fourth along with Mt. SAC.

Cypress won the event with a score of 369 with Santa Barbara City taking second at 371 and Palomar finishing third with a score of 372.

Irvine Valley had six of its scoring players shoot in the 70's with freshman Connor O'Brien leading the way. He carded an even par 72, which was just one shot off the medalist score.

Cypress' Luke Bartram and Santa Barbara City's Igor Haenel tied at 71.

Next for the Lasers was freshman Kellen Kudrna at 74. Sophomores Caleb Humble, Greg Williams and Jackson Bragg each carded 77 and sophomore Dustin Vasquez came in at 79.

Irvine Valley is back in action next Monday at the Riverside Invitational at the Victoria Club.
