Men's golf team finishes 10th at Riverside Invitational

Irvine Valley's men's golf team finished 10th out of 12 teams at the Riverside Invitational at the Victoria Club on Monday.

Irvine Valley ended with a team score of 408.

Reedley won tightly-contested event with a score of 375. Santiago Canyon was second at 376, College of the Desert came in third at 377, Riverside was fourth at 379 and Mt. San Jacinto placed fifth at 380.

Irvine Valley freshman Bruce Miranda shot 78 on three birdies, six pars and nine bogeys.

Three sophomores were next for IVC.

Andrew Lichty posted a score of 79 on 11 pars and seven bogeys.

Joe Gordon carded a 80 on one birdie, eight pars and nine bogeys.

Steven Zezima finished at 82 on two birdies, six pars, eight bogeys and two double bogeys.

Freshman Albert Aryayo (89) and freshman Kurt Hendricks (91) rounded out the team's scores.

Irvine Valley plays again on Wednesday, competing in an Orange Empire Conference match at the Navy Course in Cypress.
