Men's golf team in fourth on first day of Tee Off Classic

Irvine Valley's men's golf team had its best performance of the season so far on Monday afternoon.

The Lasers finished fourth in the first day of the Orange Empire Conference Tee Off Classic.

The Lasers ended with a team score of 386 on the North course at Los Serranos in Chino Hills.

Riverside won with a score of 366. Santiago Canyon and Orange Coast tied for second at 374 with Santiago Canyon earning the nod for second based on the score of the sixth player.

Irvine Valley finished in fourth ahead of Cypress (388) and Saddleback (392).

IVC was paced by Steven Zezima, who finished with a 1 over par score of 73.

Sophomore Nate Noblitt was next for IVC at 75.

Freshman Andrew Lichty came in at 78, freshman Joseph Gorden scored 79 and freshman River Robertson carded a 81.

Irvine Valley will be back in action on Wednesday on the second day of the Tee Off Classic at Los Serranos.
