Former IVC star Jeff Ledbetter wraps up play in Summer League

Former Irvine Valley all-Orange Empire Conference player Jeff Ledbetter just finished up playing in the NBA Summer League with the San Antonio Spurs.

Ledbetter played at Irvine Valley during the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons.

Ledbetter, a 6-3, 195-pound guard, got his Summer League season started in Salt Lake City. He played in all three games for the Spurs, averaging 9.3 points per contest while shooting 53 percent from the floor.

His best performance came in game two, against the Atlanta Hawks, when he 3 of 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 16 points. He also added five assists and two steals.

Ledbetter played in all five of San Antonio's games in Las Vegas.

His best game in Las Vegas came in game two, with the Spurs defeating the Washington Wizards, 95-90. 

Ledbetter finished the game perfect from the floor at 4 of 4, and 3 of 3 from beyond the arc, with 11 points and three assists. 

He averaged 6.2 points, 2.4 assists and 1.8 rebounds per contest in his five games in Las Vegas.

He was a first team all-OEC selection at Irvine Valley in 2008-09, leading the Lasers with 13.7 points, 2.7 assists and 2.1 steals per game and also averaged 3.6 rebounds.

Ledbetter made 78 of 204 (.384) three-pointers that year.

He was an all-OEC honorable mention pick as a freshman in 2007-08 at IVC after averaging 9.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists. He shot 49.0 percent from the field, 43.3 percent (45 of 104) from the three-point line and 84.1 percent (53 of 63) from the free throw line.

Ledbetter ended up ranked third all time in three-pointers made at Irvine Valley with 123 and ranks tied for third for most in a season with 78 (2008-09).

Ledbetter went on to play at NCAA Division 1 University of Idaho for two seasons.

He started 28 of 32 games as a senior in 2010-11 and averaged 12.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Ledbetter was named all-WAC second team after his senior year with the Vandals.

Ledbetter, who turned 30 years old in June, has played for the Austin Spurs in the G League the past two seasons.

He averaged 11.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.66 assists per game during the 2017-18 year.
