2018-19 Irvine Valley men's basketball schedule released

The 2018-19 Irvine Valley men's basketball schedule has been released and posted at ivclasers.com.

Irvine Valley will open the season with back-to-back road games in the San Diego area. The Lasers play at Southwestern on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. and then are at Cuyamaca on Friday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m.

The Lasers will then host their own Irvine Valley Classic from Thursday, Nov. 15 through Saturday, Nov. 17. 

Irvine Valley plays at El Camino on Nov. 20 before heading up to a tournament at Monterey Peninsula from Nov. 29-Dec. 1. 

IVC will also play in a two-day tournament at Cypress on Dec. 5 and Dec. 7. The Lasers will host two games as part of a crossover with the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference on Wednesday, Dec. 12, playing MiraCosta at 6 p.m. that day.

The Lasers are then at San Diego Miramar on Dec. 14 and then will play in a tournament at El Camino Dec. 20-21.

Irvine Valley plays at LA Valley on Dec. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in its final nonconference match.

IVC opens tough Orange Empire Conference play at home on Wednesday, Jan. 9 against defending OEC champion Orange Coast at 5 p.m.

The Lasers first three conference contests are actually at home. IVC then plays host to Fullerton on Friday, Jan. 11 at 5 p.m. and then hosts district rival Saddleback on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 5 p.m.

Irvine Valley will play all of its conference games at 5 p.m. this coming season.

IVC wraps up the regular season with a road game at Santa Ana on Friday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m.

Irvine Valley had a record of 14-15 overall last season and just missed out on making the playoffs. IVC had sophomores Zane Paddon (San Francisco State) and Daniel Hernandez (Cal State San Marcos) move on.
