The Irvine Valley men's basketball team has not only one, but two players headed to the same four-year college.

Sophomore guards Jimmy Golden and Ronnie Harris both signed to play at Sonoma State in the fall.

The duo were celebrated earlier this week in a signing ceremony among family and friends at Irvine Valley.

Golden and Harris helped Irvine Valley go a combined 41-16 the last two seasons.

Irvine Valley had a record of 16-11 during the 2014-15 season and finished second in the Orange Empire Conference.

Golden and Harris were each named second team all-Orange Empire Conference this past season.

Golden, a 6-4 sophomore guard, averaged 9.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for the Lasers. He led the team with a 37.8 three-point field goal percentage and also in three-pointers made with 48.

Golden scored in double figures in 15 games. He made 5 of 7 three-pointers and finished with 19 points in a loss to Chaffey on Dec. 18.

Golden started 55 of 56 games for Irvine Valley the past two seasons.

He was also named the team's co-MVP and IVC's team scholar athlete at the Lasers' recent banquet celebrating the 2014-15 season.

Harris, a 6-3 guard, was the first player off the bench for IVC the last two seasons, sharing point guard duties with Jalen Hall.

He averaged 5.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists this past season. Harris scored in double figures in five games with a high of 14 points in a 59-58 win over Orange Coast on Jan. 30 at home. In that game, Harris was 5 for 5 from the field, 2 of 2 from three-point range and 2 of 2 from the free throw line.

Harris also recorded at least five assists in seven contests for IVC.

Sonoma State had a record of 12-14 overall last season and went 9-13 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
