College: Gray-shirted at Irvine Valley during the 2011-12 season…Played in 28 games and averaged 7.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists last season…Was fourth on the Lasers in scoring a season ago and ranked third in steals…Scored in double figures in 10 games last year, including six straight games during the middle of the season…Had a season-high 14 points in a win over Santa Monica…Grabbed a season-high six rebounds in the team’s playoff win over Santa Ana and had a season-high seven steals in a loss against Saddleback.

High School: Was a four-year varsity player at Segerstrom…Named second team all-league as a freshman and first team all-league his sophomore, junior and senior seasons…Was named his varsity’s MVP after averaging 12 points, two rebounds and three assists as a sophomore…Picked as the team’s defensive player of the year as a junior after he averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two assists per game…And selected his team’s MVP as well as the Golden West League MVP and first team all-CIF after averaging 25 points, seven rebounds and three steals a game as a senior…Was the second-leading scorer in orange County his senior year…Helped his team to a record of 22-7, a share of the league title and the third round of the playoffs his senior season…Says his biggest achievement was beating Ocean View, 58-55, for the first time ever his senior year…He scored 28 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter of the victory.

Personal: Would like to attend a Cal State San Marcos, Concordia, Vanguard, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Dominguez Hills or Cal Baptist, continue his basketball career and study in criminal justice when he is done at IVC…His favorite player is Kevin Durant and his favorite subject is math…His goal for the season is to help the team win conference and state…The person he most admires is his uncle who has helped him become the man he is today…Son of Debra Abbott and helped raised by his aunt Sharon and uncle Frank Stephens.
