
Irvine Valley sophomore baseball player Casey Kudell is headed to NCAA Division II Chaminade University in Hawaii.
Kudell, out of Irvine High, has shined at IVC. He was named all-Orange Empire Conference after the 2022 season.
The 6-1 first baseman hit .378 with a .500 on base percentage during the 2022 season. He had 45 hits and drove in 25 runs.
Kudell played in 38 games, led the team with 26 runs scored, and had three doubles, one triple and two home runs at the plate.
Irvine Valley finished the 2022 season with a record of 17-23 record overall.
This past season for the Lasers, Kudell batted .245 with 16 RBI and played in 35 games overall.
In Irvine Valley's season-ending sweep of Golden West, Kudell went 5 for 12 at the plate with two runs scored and two RBI>
