Irvine Valley bounces back with big day at Mt. San Jacinto

Irvine Valley's baseball team had its five-game win streak stopped by Chaffey at the OC Great Park on Thursday.

The Lasers bounced right back with a 11-2 win at Mt. San Jacinto in a game that was made up from Wednesday.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Ryan Barlow threw seven strong innings for his second win of the year (2-1) and the Lasers' offense had 14 hits in the win, which improved their record to 11-4 overall.

Barlow gave up two runs in the seven innings on six hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.

Freshmen Seth Bougher and Meki Wright each pitched a scorless inning after Barlow.

The Lasers used a big, four-run fourth inning to take control and build a 7-0 lead.

Irvine Valley had four players with at least two hits, led by freshman right fielder Jack Haggerty, who went 3 for 5 with a triple, a run scored and three RBI. He also had a stolen base.

Freshman left fielder Noah Madole went deep for the first time this year, finishing 3 for 5 with a home run and two RBI.

Freshman designated hitter Connor Tallakson was 2 for 4 with a double and one RBI and freshman first baseman Adrian Reveles had a nice afternoon, going 2 for 5 with a double, triple, two runs and two RBI.

The Lasers are back in action next Tuesday at the OC Great Park Field 10 against LA Valley at 2 p.m.
