Sophomore right-handed relief pitcher Paul Colignon has signed with NCAA Division II Oklahoma Baptist University.
Colignon made 15 appearances over his two-year career at IVC. He pitched 26.2 innings and had a 4.05 ERA over the last two years with the Lasers.
Colignon made appearances and pitched 12.1 innings this past year. He had four strikeouts and a 4.38 ERA.
He pitched three scoreless innings and gave up just one hit in Irvine Valley's 6-4 win at San Diego City on Feb. 11.
Irvine Valley finished with a 20-19-1 record and just missed making the postseason this year.
The 6-3 Colignon, who pitched at Servite High before coming to IVC, is headed to an Oklahoma Baptist program that had a record of 35-21 overall and 20-13 in conference.
The Bison won four straight games to take the Great American Conference Tournament and then reached the NCAA Central Region playoffs and won two games before getting knocked out.
