Zielinski was one of four pitchers selected to the 16-man team.

Zielinski, Sean Barry of Santa Barbara City and Taylor Turski of Palomar were starting pitchers on the team.

Orange Coast's Dominic Purpura was picked as a relief pitcher.

Other players on the team included infielders Matt Henderson (Santa Barbara City), Dustyn Cook (Oxnard), Dylan Brauldt (Palomar) and Jonathan McCray (San Bernardino Valley), first baseman Nick Snyder (LA Valley), outfielders Tommy Bell (Orange Coast), Dustin Frailey (Mt. San Antonio), Austin Bergland (San Bernardino Valley), Robert Lucero (Southwestern), designated hitter Josh Gooding (Victor Valley) and utility player Brad Moreno (San Diego Mesa).

Zielinski was also named first team all-Orange Empire Conference and was chosen as Irvine Valley's co-pitcher of the year and "Iron I" Award winner for his efforts this past season.

Zielinski finished with a record of 9-3 overall. He set several program records this year, including innings pitched with 118.1, ERA at 1.52, complete games with eight and shutouts with three.

And he tied for the most wins in a season with nine.
