After a special finish at the Orange Empire Conference Tournament last Friday where all four of Irvine Valley women's beach volleyball team pairs qualified for the regionals, the Lasers will be back in action on Tuesday in a regional team event.
Irvine Valley was named the No. 2 seed in the Southern California Team Regionals and hosts No. 7 Grossmont and No. 10 Fullerton with play starting at 11 a.m.
IVC will take on Fullerton at 11 a.m., Grossmont then plays Fullerton at aproximately 12:30 p.m. with IVC going up against Grossmont at around 2 p.m.
Irvine Valley finished with a record of 13-10 overall on the year, but nine of those losses were against NCAA Division I schools.
Irvine Valley finished with a record of 9-1 in conference and captured the Eastern Division title.
Grossmont enters the regional with a record of 13-6 overall and went 7-3 in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference to place third, while Fullerton went 12-7 overall and 6-4 to take second in the OEC Eastern Division.
The Lasers' lone defeat in CCCAA play came to Orange Coast, 3-2, in an Orange Empire Conference match on Mar. 11.
Orange Coast earned the top seed in the So. Cal Regionals.
At the OEC Pairs Tournament last Friday, IVC's Jolie Rasmussen and Barett Nolan and Jaclyn Sanchez and Emily Guenter were named co-champions.
Admission is free at the IVC Team Regional.
