Irvine Valley's athlete of the week for Feb. 12 is sophomore men's basketball player Luke Farrington.
The star sophomore guard made a career-high eight three-pointers in Irvine Valley's 67-55 Orange Empire Conference win over Santa Ana at home last Friday night in Hart Gym.
Farrinton is averaging 9.5 points on the season and has knocked down 48 three-pointers on the season.
He is also the leader in the the state in three-point shooting percentage at 52.2 percent.
Farrington has helped the Lasers to a 16-8 record overall and a 7-5 mark in the conference.
Irvine Valley plays again on Tuesday night in a conference game at Fullerton.
